Crystal Palace are hoping to sign Chelsea left-back Lewis Hall on a season-long loan, according to the South London Press.
The England Under 21 international is expected to sign a contract extension before he makes the switch to Selhurst Park. Hall is still only 18 years of age but he made 11 appearances for the Blues last season. Fans on X do believe, however, that he will benefit from a spell away at another Premier League club:

Left-back Competition
Although Hall was given a lot of game time last campaign, he would probably have spent most of this season playing for the Under 21s or getting rare appearances off the bench.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has three other left-backs at his disposal in Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen so there would have been very little room for Hall.
Palace has a good track record developing Chelsea players
Both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Conor Gallagher have had successful spells with the Eagles in recent years and you would hope that Hall would similarly benefit in terms of developing his game and maturing as a player.
The teenager will have a fight on his hands for first-team football as his direct competitor at left-back will be England international Tyrick Mitchell.
However, the defender may miss the start of the season due to the injury, which could give Hall the chance to impress as a starter straight away.
