Everton will sell Amadou Onana to Chelsea if the Blues can match his £55m asking price, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Belgian reporter claims that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have revived their interest in the 21-year-old and the Toffees will be open to doing business as they need to raise funds:
🚨🔵 #ChelseaFC revives Amadou #Onana’s track! The Blues have resumed discussions for the #DiablesRouges & shown a strong interest again. #EFC player open to a departure from #EvertonFC who -in urgent needs of cash- wants to recover ~£55m in the deal.

Onana was a target for Chelsea during the January transfer window, and he has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal and West Ham in the past.
Is Onana a priority target?
The Blues are definitely in the market for midfielders this summer, but he isn’t a no.6; someone who can play the holding role so that Enzo Fernandez can play further forward.
Sporting Lisbon’s Manuel Ugarte was a top target for that reason so you would think that the club’s recruitment team will be looking to find an alternative similar to the Uruguayan international.
Who are the alternatives to Onana?
The two players that Chelsea may well pursue instead of the Belgian international are Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.
In Caicedo’s case, he could cost around £20m to £25m more than Onana, so the London club may need to raise funds from player sales before making a bid for the Brighton star.
With regards to Lavia, reports suggest he could be available for a slightly lower fee (£50m). However, despite being a similar age to Onana, his Belgium teammate has played far fewer matches at senior level. His ability to play in a deeper role, though, may swing things in his favour.
