Chelsea Star Hands Potter Massive Boost As He Declares He’s “Ready” To Return After 10 Weeks Out

Chelsea centre-back Wesley Fofana says he’s “ready for action” after returning to full training following a knee injury.

The Frenchman has been sidelined for over ten weeks after being taken off in the 3-0 win against AC Milan at the start of October. It was only Graham Potter’s third game in charge of the Blues and, despite missing eleven matches since then, Fofana says he is now raring to go:

“For me, I’m feeling good. I’m very happy to return to the team and the training. I’m ready for action and for the game.”

It will be interesting to see whether Fofana returns to the starting lineup straight away when Chelsea take on Bournemouth in the first fixture back after the World Cup on December 27th.

The 21-year-old was not in the squad that lost 1-0 to Aston Villa in a friendly out in Abu Dhabi at the weekend but, with the first-team squad now back training at Cobham, it looks as if the defender will be stepping up his comeback in the very near future.
