Chelsea are reportedly readying a bid to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezman. The 24-year-old scored 22 goals in 37 La Liga appearances during his debut season with the Spanish side last season and has been linked with a host of top European sides including PSG. It is reported that Mourinho will do his all to ensure Griezmann is at Stamford Bridge next season.

Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann is on many major club’s transfer list after having an incredible La Liga Season. Despite being under contract until 2020, he could be interested in trying out the Premier League which for many is the place to go in order to play at the top level.

The Frenchman is better known for his ability on the flanks, however he has made a name for himself as a striker in recent times with his prolific goal record.

Griezmann has a £43.5m release clause in his contract, however Mourinho’s side are reportedly unwilling to pay that amount for the former Real Sociedad man.

Griezman is undoubtedly one of the most impressive attacking players currently playing in Europe. The 24 year old Frenchman who surprisingly picked Atletico when leaving Sociedad, is now open to discussions with a new team after just one year in Madrid. The forward’s choices make a lot of sense and another transfer would not be much of a surprise.

It remains unclear whether Griezmann is interested in a move to the Premier League, but one thing’s for sure, he would be a brilliant addition and one that would surely play a huge part in the Chelsea team.
