Chelsea Star ‘Unhappy’ With ‘Attitude’ Of Club Amid Potential Exit

Much-maligned Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku is reportedly unhappy with the club’s treatment of him and that he ‘didn’t like their attitude’ as the Blues look to move him on in the summer transfer window [via Corriere dello Sport].

He feels that the club have been trying to ‘push him into the arms of Al-Hilal’, a move that Lukaku is reportedly uninterested in. Several other Chelsea players, such as N’Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy, will be moving to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

Instead, Lukaku will ‘take matters into his own hands’ and begin to push for a permanent transfer back to Inter Milan, with whom he spent last season on loan with.

Where will Romelu Lukaku end up next season?

Over the past few months, Lukaku has been linked with moves to several massive clubs from across Europe, as his time at Chelsea seems to be coming to an end.

Both Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly registered an interest in the player, though neither of them appear to have followed up on this over the last few weeks.

With that being said, Lukaku himself has one particular destination in mind – Inter Milan. Chelsea may be forced to accept whatever Inter offer them – if they reject a bid for the Belgian, they may have an expensive player on their hands who they are unable to offload.

Where did it go wrong for Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea?

When Lukaku returned to Chelsea in 2021, it should have been a roaring success for both the club and the player. Instead, it was nothing short of a disaster.

But why? He fit the mold of what they needed at the time – he was a physically gifted, aerially dominant striker who had an acute eye for goal. Sadly, a slew of poor performances and a perceived lack of enthusiasm turned the dream move into a nightmare.

As such, both Lukaku and Chelsea have appear to have given up on one another – the Blues are looking to sell him in the summer, while Lukaku himself is attempting to force a move. Over the course of his time spent at the club, Lukaku scored eight goals for Chelsea in 36 Premier League appearances.
