‘Omggg This Is Nice!!!’ ‘The Worst Kit I Have Ever Seen!’ Chelsea Fans Discuss Leaked Images Of New Away Shirt

Images that apparently show Chelsea’s away kit for the 2024/25 season have leaked online.

FootyHeadlines, which has an excellent track record when it comes to previewing new shirts, have released pictures of Nike’s latest design. It’s fair to say that supporters on X are very much split down the middle on whether the white jersey (with blue and orange trim) is actually any good:

Nike have not impressed fans since replacing Adidas

The American kit manufacturers have been responsible for Chelsea’s replica kits over the last seven years, having succeeded Adidas at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign.

In the past few seasons, the away shirts have been pretty decent, with the home jerseys usually being the letdown. However, this latest effort is rather lacking in inspiration.

Why is there no main sponsor on the front of Chelsea’s new away kit?

The Blues have a one-year sponsorship agreement with Infinite Athlete, which expires at the end of this season. There are rumours that the club are in negotiations with Riyadh Air to replace them on the front of the shirt.

Club chairman Todd Boehly has flown to Saudi Arabia in the past few weeks, which suggests that talks over a sponsorship deal may have accelerated, but we shall have to wait and see whether there is an official announcement in the coming months.
