Chelsea are interested in signing Juventus fullback Mattia De Sciglio, according to Calciomercato.com. The Italian website report that the 27-year-old is also being pursued by the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

There had been claims in recent days that the Italian international could be used in a part-exchange deal for Emerson Palmieri, who Juve are believed to be interested in.

However, the Chelsea fullback’s agent has spoken publicly in recent days to confirm that the defender is happy to stay in London and is currently not considering a return to Italy.

A move for De Sciglio by the Blues would be a surprise, considering he is a right-back by trade, and manager Frank Lampard is already well-stocked in that position with Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Juventus player has not been a regular for his club this season either, with manager Maurizio Sarri having only started him in five league games.
