Chelsea Legend Talks About Diego Costa

The news of the dispute between Diego Costa and the coaching staff at Stamford Bridge came out of nowhere and as a big surprise to most fans and pundits. The Antonio Conte and Diego Costa were rumored to have had a fallout due to an incident the Spaniard caused during a training session. All seems settled right now and even though no one actually confirmed something did happen, it is still soothing to hear about how everything is somewhat back to normal.

Former player and club legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink commented for Sky Sports and actually made some good points regarding Costa and his future: “I think only Costa can keep Costa happy, I don’t think Chelsea are going to keep him happy.”

“He’s playing the best football of his career, of course he’s going to get other clubs interested, it’s just the nature of the game, and Chelsea will have to deal with that.”

“It’s how he takes it further. He might want to leave, but if he keeps on doing the business on Saturday there’s no problem there.”

“The team is the most important thing, and Chelsea need to do the right thing for Chelsea. The boy is under contract and we all know Costa is a very important player in the Chelsea set-up, especially in counter-attacking, bullying and leading the front line.”

So Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has given his insight on the recent incident between Diego Costa and Antonio Conte and hopefully Costa gets back to doing his talking on the pitch and manages to help bring Chelsea fans a much-awaited trophy at the end of the season.
