Chelsea are interested in snapping up AC Milan fullback Theo Hernandez during the January transfer window, according to InterLive.it.
The Italian website claims the Blues are ready to secure a move for the World Cup finalist “immediately” as they look to strengthen their options at the back.
Milan would be reluctant to sell Hernandez as he is a key player but they may consider offers if a team is prepared to pay around €80m (£71m).
If that were to happen, the Rossoneri have already targeted Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa as their preferred replacement, with the Croatian also being on Inter Milan’s radar.
Paris Saint-Germain and Hernandez’s former club Real Madrid are also likely to challenge Chelsea if Graham Potter’s side do make an offer for Frenchman next month.
Considering the Blues shelled out £62m on Marc Cucurella in the summer, and the fact they already have Ben Chilwell in the squad, it would be a surprise if they did prioritise a move for another left-back.
