Chelsea In Four-Way Tussle For Highly Rated Serie A Ace With £69m Price Tag

Fiorentina have set an €80m (£69m) asking price for Federico Chiesa, according to reports in Italy

The Viola are unwilling to sell for below that figure due to his performances for the Italian club this season.

Chiesa has scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 28 games this campaign, having captained Fiorentina in their last three games despite being only 21 years of age.

Chelsea are believed to be among four teams keeping tabs on the Italian international’s progress.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli are also reportedly keen on Chiesa with the Partenopei, in particular, looking to snap up the winger.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are said to have a first option on the midfielder, meaning Fiorentina must accept a bid from them if another club agrees a fee for the player.

Chelsea are believed to be prepared to splash the cash in the summer. The Blues have been handed a two-window transfer ban but that could be delayed by an appeal, allowing them to spend big on new recruits.
