Chelsea’s Appeal Against Transfer Ban Could Allow £200m Spending Spree On Four Players

Chelsea are expected to appeal against their two-window transfer ban, which could enable them to continue signing players this summer, according to reports.

The delay could also allow the Blues to spend £200m on new players, before then being banned from making transfers for eighteen months if the appeal is rejected.

It is being reported that Zinedine Zidane, a potential replacement if Maurizio Sarri is sacked, would be happy to take over if the club do go on a spending spree.

The former Real Madrid player is said to be keen on signing four players. Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, Porto left-back Alex Telles and Real Madrid playmaker Isco.

There isn’t any guarantee, though, that Zidane will be the club’s next manager. His former club Juventus are also said to be keen on appointing him with current head coach Max Allegri’s future said to be in doubt.

Currently, this is all highly speculative, but it’s likely Chelsea would take advantage of any appeal to strengthen their squad in the summer.
