Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has not been swayed by Chelsea’s offer to sign him on a free transfer in the summer, according to reports in Germany.
The likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have also been mentioned as possible destinations, but the Austrian has narrowed down his list to two teams.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly the only clubs left in the running to sign Alaba. There had been claims that the 28-year-old already has a verbal agreement with Real, although that doesn’t mean he will end up at the Bernabeu.
The centre-back’s wage demands are believed to be holding up his potential move, and there is still a chance that the likes of Chelsea could come back into the frame if contract negotiations do stall.
Alaba is expected to make his final decision in either April or May so we won’t have to wait long before we find out who he will be playing for next season.
