Chelsea are tracking Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 16-year-old is also being pursued by Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, who have already submitted an offer for the player.

Despite the transfer ban, the Blues are permitted by FIFA to sign players who are 16 or under and Esposito does fit into that category.

The forward has put in impressive performances both at club and international level this season. He has scored 16 in 14 appearances for Inter’s Under 17s but he did struggle more after being promoted to the Under 19s.

In the second half of the campaign, Esposito hit just three goals in 12 games, although most of those appearances have come as a substitute. He also made his senior debut in the Europa League against Frankfurt back in March.

In recent weeks he has been away on international duty at the European Under 17 Championships with Italy. He has been in tremendous form, scoring four goals and providing one assist in four games with his team reaching the final.
