Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has not held talks with Paris Saint-Germain about signing Neymar this summer, according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs.
Reports in the French media had claimed that Boehly had met PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about the possibility of snapping up the Brazilian international for €60m (£53m), but Jacobs says the meeting between the pair was pretty insubstantial:
Understand no talks took place over Neymar between Todd Boehly and Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Paris. The pair met in passing at last night’s #UCL game for just a few minutes. Al-Khelaifi spent the day at a lunch with Bayern then with Qatar’s Emir. PSG do not view Neymar as for sale. pic.twitter.com/40mXBrQr8u

There is no doubt that Boehly would probably consider recruiting Neymar if it was completely up to him, but it should be pointed out that he has now relinquished his responsibilities for transfers.
At the start of this month, the Blues announced Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley as the club’s co-sporting directors and they would likely determine Neymar to be a non-essential target.
The 31-year-old’s preference is to play on the left flank and Chelsea have just spent the best part of £88m on Mykhailo Mudryk to strengthen that area of the pitch.
