Arsenal attacking midfielder Omari Hutchinson is “set” to join Chelsea, according to the Secret Scout.

The insider claims that the 18-year-old will be joining the Blues’ Under 23s as he looks to continue his progress towards making it at senior level:

Other sources have revealed that Hutchinson has already undergone a medical at Cobham, so it looks as though this deal is quite far down the line.

It’s very unusual for a high-profile Premier League club to sell one of their most promising youth prospects to another top-flight team, but Hutchinson’s chances of getting first-team football with the Gunners are limited.

In terms of his favoured number 10 role, he has Martin Odegaard and new signing Fabio Vieira above him in the pecking order. On the wings, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are unlikely to be giving up their places anytime soon.

From the looks of things, Hutchinson seems to be confident that he will have a better chance of making his first team debut at Chelsea under manager Thomas Tuchel.
