Agents Reveal Player’s Stance With Chelsea In ‘Pole Position’ To Sign La Liga Star With 30M Release Clause

Agents have told Chelsea and Napoli that Villareal left wingback Alfonso Pedraza has yet to make a decision on his future, according to CalcioNapoli24.it.

The Italian website claims that both teams are keen on signing the 25-year-old, with the Blues said to be in “pole position” to secure the player’s signature.

Pedraza was first linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the English press back at the end of April, with it being reported at the time that the Spaniard has a €35m (£30m) release clause.

It appears Chelsea remain interested in the player, although it is likely that any bid will have to wait until the likes of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri have left Stamford Bridge.

Both fullbacks are expected to be sold this summer, which would then make room for Pedraza in the squad. Considering the Villarreal star’s attacking instincts, it is believed he would fit perfectly into Thomas Tuchel’s 3-4-3 system.
