‘A Chelsea Target’ Journalist Reveals £35m Rated Brazilian Is ‘On The Radar’ Ahead Of Transfer Window

Porto left-back Alex Telles is a “Chelsea target” according to Football.London‘s Blues correspondent Oliver Harbord. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the Portuguese press, and the journalist says the defender is “on the radar” ahead of the next transfer window.

Leicester’s Ben Chilwell appears to be manager Frank Lampard’s number one target, but if the England international proves too costly, a bid for the Porto player could be made instead.

Telles is reportedly valued at around €40m (£35m) by his club, but he could be available for below that amount with the 27-year-old having just over twelve months remaining on his contract at the Estadio do Dragao.

The fullback has turned down the chance to extend his stay at Porto so a move away from Portugal in the summer is very likely. Chelsea could, though, reportedly face competition from Barcelona for his signature.
