Young Chelsea superstar Noni Madueke has celebrated his man of the match performance for England U21s as they annihilated France’s U21s by a wide scoreline of 4-0.
In Madueke’s post, he is pictured holding his player of the match award – after scoring a goal and setting up a further two, it is richly deserved.
The Barnet-born boy captioned his triumphant Instagram post with: “Focusing my mind on being ruthless.”
Madueke’s post currently has an unknown amount of likes, as he has disabled the public likes counter. However, it has received a like from several of his Blues teammates, including Ben Chilwell, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marc Cucurella.
A number of Madueke’s international compatriots for England left him a congratulatory comment on the post – among them were Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah and Liverpool’s Curtis Jones.
England U21s were absolutely sensational in their game against France U21s. After a tense first half where neither side made a breakthrough, the Three Lions cranked it up a gear in the second half.
Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe opened the scoring on the 50th minute – from there, England began to dominate. Madueke opened his account for the game on 77 minutes, as he then went on to set up England’s third and fourth goals – which were scored by Curtis Jones and Jacob Ramsey, respectively.
