Chelsea right-back Reece James returned to full training yesterday, the club have revealed.
The defender has been on the cusp of making a comeback from a hamstring injury for a while, but a minor setback is believed to have kept him from featuring before now.
With the Carabao Cup final coming up against Liverpool this weekend, James’s return couldn’t have been timed any better, and fans on Twitter are very happy to see he is back available for selection:
Thank God! I was just here to see if he is back and here is the news!! Hope he starts on Sunday.

It would still be a big surprise if James starts at Wembley on Sunday but, from the looks of things, he will likely make the matchday squad for the showpiece event.
The England international’s absence has been keenly felt by the Blues in recent weeks, and he will undoubtedly strengthen the team going forward, having racked up five goals and six assists in 23 appearances before he was sidelined with injury in December.
