Chelsea Target Worried That 59.7M Move Could Collapse Following Latest Development

Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is concerned that Kurt Zouma’s refusal to move to Spain could jeopardise his transfer to Chelsea, according to Diario de Sevilla.

The Blues were looking to offer Zouma as part of their offer for Kounde, which included an additional payment of €35m (£30m).

However, Zouma is now interesting both West Ham and Tottenham, and the Frenchman is said to be keen on staying in the Premier League, rather than upping sticks and leaving London.

Kounde has reportedly already agreed a lucrative five-year contract with Chelsea and the 22-year-old is keenly anticipating a switch to Stamford Bridge.

It is now hoped that a deal can be worked out without Zouma being included. Sevilla are believed to be demanding €70m (£59.7m) so finding the funds may prove difficult.

The sale of Zouma could help, but it does seem as though Kounde’s transfer is now very far from being completed.
