Newcastle are considering making a bid for Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso as part of a £300m spending spree, according to reports in the UK.
The Magpies are still waiting for their takeover to be confirmed by the Premier League but the new owners are said to be already making plans for the next transfer window.
Supporters on Twitter would be open to Alonso moving to St James’ Park:

There have been claims in the English press over the past week that the Blues will be looking to offload either Alonso or Emerson Palmieri this summer.
Manager Frank Lampard is very keen on signing Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, and that means the departure of one left-back is highly likely.
Alonso does struggle more as a fullback than as a wingback, and if Newcastle do indeed make a bid for the Spaniard in the next few months, Chelsea could well accept the offer.
