Kurt Zouma is seen as the next in line to become Chelsea’s leader. The young Frenchman who has adapted well to Mourinho’s demands, looks better and better with each match. Even though he lacks in experience, his playing style is very mature and highly efficient. The 20 year old who has grown immensely since last year when he left Saint-Etienne not only has he shown great quality but also dedication towards the club. According to the Daily Express, despite being quite new at Stamford Bridge, he already feels like his childhood dream is accomplished. All that is left now is for him to win all the possible trophies as many times as he can.

With that kind of determination Zouma is bound to have a bright future playing for Chelsea. He was brought in to replace Terry and it looks like he will if he keeps it up. With JT probably ready and willing to spend one more year with the Blues, it looks like perfect timing for the French youngster. In a year’s worth of performing next to Terry, Ivanovic and Cahill he will not only improve his qualities as a footballer but will also learn about what it means to be a leader.

Having Zouma as a central defender will give Chelsea a lot of confidence for the seasons to come. Pairing him up with his fellow compatriot, Raphael Varane would create quite the defensive wall which would probably fend off any striker regardless of how good he is.
