Zaha Drops Possible Transfer Hint As He Sparks Fresh Speculation With Instagram Post

Wilfried Zaha has been at Crystal Palace for almost all of his career, barring a brief spell at Manchester United. However, some believe his time at Selhurst Park may be coming to an end, with Chelsea and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal rumoured to be interested in the player.

In a post on his Instagram page, Zaha posted a picture of him clapping Palace supporters following a game. Notably, the post was captionless, leaving fans speculating as to what the true nature of the picture was all about.

Some believe that the post may be a cryptic goodbye message to the Palace fans. Others believe there is nothing as such behind the picture and that he regularly posts photos of this ilk after games have concluded. Indeed, Zaha posted a similar photo without any sort of speculation around it just over a week ago.

Chelsea have been linked with Zaha, but it is worth mentioning that a player of his age does not correlate with Todd Boehly’s transfer philosophies. The Chelsea majority owner is keen for the Blues to snap up as many young players as possible – at 30 years old, Zaha is no spring chicken.

Zaha’s contract will expire in the summer, assuming he does not sign a new one. Due to this, Patrick Vieira and Palace may look to cash in on his services in January, rather than lose him for free at the end of June.

Chelsea already have an abundance of talented wingers – throwing Zaha into the mix would seem like an odd move at this stage, considering the club have just purchased Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. Nevertheless, he would still be a great player to bring in on a free – if the opportunity arises.
