Wright Predicts Who Will Come Out On Top Between Chelsea And United

BBC pundit Ian Wright has backed Chelsea to come away with the three points when they face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge this evening.

A win would cement the Blues’ position in the top four, and Wright believes Frank Lampard’s side will have too much for their opponents, with the Red Devils’ forward line weakened due to injury:

“I fancy Chelsea to win that one for some reason, I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s because I don’t know the forward players of Man United. Is Odion Ighalo going to come in and score? Hopefully, he does but if not you just feel that Chelsea might be able to get this one over the line.”

Ighalo was in the travelling party that has taken the trip to London, but it would be a big surprise if he was in the starting line up tonight. The Nigerian has not played a competitive match since the beginning of December when he was playing for Shanghai Shenhua.

The two favourites to start in attack, alongside Anthony Martial and Dan James, are Mason Greenwood and Juan Mata with Marcus Rashford still sidelined with a back injury.

For Chelsea, Christian Pulisic will not be available due to a groin problem, while Tammy Abraham is a slight doubt due to an ongoing muscular injury.
