Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham is targeting a return against Aston Villa tomorrow night after recovering from a hip injury, according to reports in the English media.
The 22-year-old did not play in the 1-0 defeat versus West Ham on Saturday due to a problem he picked up in the 2-2 draw against Valencia last week.
However, it appears Abraham has recovered enough to play some part against Villa, and fans on Twitter are very happy about the news:

After Saturday’s match, it’s evident chelsea needs back quickly. Could generate much although the hammers made it hard. I feel Tammy gives them something different upfront which has helped all season. Great to hear he’ll be back soon

I have this crazy feeling that after those performances from Olivia & Michy, Tammy will be rushed back

Don’t rush it… that’s what I say

Great news but I hope he’s not being rushed back. Wouldn’t want to hear news of a reoccurring injury or something.

There is always the fear that the player could be rushed back and then breakdown again. With Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi having failed to perform in his absence, it would be a temptation to bring Abraham back in early.
Whether the England international will start versus Villa tomorrow, it remains to be seen, but after scoring 11 goals in all competitions this season, manager Frank Lampard will be desperate to see him return to fitness as soon as possible.
