Chelsea are interested in Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, according to Marca. The Spanish newspaper reports that the Blues, along with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are possible destinations for the Frenchman if he leaves the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old will have 12 months left on his contract in the summer, and Real are thought to be seriously considering selling him if they do receive an offer of €50m (£44m).
With Chelsea reportedly on the lookout for a new centre-half, supporters on Twitter would back the club if they were to go after Varane:
Would love us to sign him…

I agree, think he would be a very good signing for us. Pace and power in our defence would be very beneficial for us!

He should be the number 1 priority signing this summer! Let’s convince him, he’s worth alaba’s wages!

If Thiago Silva does sign a contract keeping him at Stamford Bridge for another year, it would be a mouth-watering prospect to see the Brazilian and Varane linking up together in the centre of defence for the Blues.
Whether that, in fact, happens will depend on what Varane decides to do. The France international has a big decision to make on his future.
