World Cup winning midfielder latest in long list of Chelsea stars linked with La Liga switch

N’Golo Kante is the latest in a growing list of Chelsea stars who have been linked with a move to La Liga this summer.

Chelsea finished fifth in the Premier League last season and are now without Champions League football for the second time in three seasons and may now see a host of key players leave.

Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Willian have all been rumoured to be on their way to Spain this summer to either Real Madrid or Barcelona – and Kante is now rumoured to be following the trio across the continent.

According to reports, Barcelona have earmarked Kante as a potential replacement for Andres Iniesta, who left for Japanese side Vissel Kobe at the end of last term.

Chelsea, and new manager Maurizio Sarri, are desperate to hold onto of one of the club’s most prized assets, however could be powerless to keep him should Hazard, Courtois and Willian also leave Stamford Bridge.

Kante however, who helped France lift the World Cup yesterday afternoon, has previously hinted he will not leave Chelsea this summer despite the difficult situation the club find themselves in.

“I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player,” said Kante.

“This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title.

“In the second season, I have got to play in the Champions League and we are going again to finish in the top four.”
