Wolves V Chelsea: Match Preview And Betting Odds

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will have a number of difficult decisions to make heading into the game against Wolves on Saturday. Antonio Rudiger is back fit, and considering the Blues’ poor defensive record this season, the Blues boss may be tempted to put the German into the starting line up despite having not played since April.

N’Golo Kante should also be available, but the Frenchman has been managing a knee injury, and it will be up to the manager to determine whether he can risk him from the start.

Lampard also has a number of other fitness concerns. Mateo Kovacic (Achilles) and Emerson Palmieri (thigh) are doubts for the weekend, while Reece James (ankle) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (Achilles) are still not ready to make their comebacks. Marco van Ginkel (knee) and Ruben Loftus Cheek (Achilles) are long-term absentees.

Wolves will be without key defender Willy Boly, who is suspended after being sent off in the 3-2 defeat to Everton last time out, while Matt Doherty is sidelined after undergoing knee surgery. Romain Saiss is also a doubt for the game at Molineux.

The bookmakers have Chelsea as slight favourites for this one. They are 6/4 at Betfair to get the win while a draw is 12/5 with Sky Bet. A victory for Wolves is 2/1 at BetVictor.
