‘Will Contemplate Cashing In’ Report Claims 50M Rated Chelsea Target Could Be On The Market In January

Wolves could consider selling Adama Traore in the January transfer window, according to Birmingham Mail.

The local newspaper reports that the Spanish international’s club “will contemplate cashing in” on the player, who will have eighteen months left on his contract in the New Year.

Chelsea were interested in Traore earlier on in the summer, with manager Thomas Tuchel believed to have been keen on strengthening his options in the right wingback position.

The Wolves star was thought to be the Blues’ backup option for Achraf Hakimi but, after the London club lost out on the Moroccan to Paris Saint-Germain, they changed their priorities and focused on bringing in a centre-half instead.

Tottenham eventually emerged as favourites for Traore’s signature, tabling a £30m bid before the transfer window closed, but Wolves held on to the 25-year-old as they wanted closer to £50m.

Whether Traore’s availability in January will attract Chelsea back to the table, as well as other clubs like Liverpool, we shall have to wait and see.
