With recent news suggesting that Falcao is closer than ever to move to Stamford Bridge, the Blues are keen on bringing in yet another world class striker. Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle, who has been targeted by Abramovich’s team for more than a year, would be a great addition to the squad or he may replace Torres, who has not managed to live up to expectations. The 21 year old German international may well take the opportunity this summer and move to the Premier League.

His transfer was not on the cards up until a few days back, when Chelsea changed their valuation and decided Schurrle is worth as much as 12 million pounds plus they will include Kevin de Bruyne as part of the deal as the Mail Online reported. Last year, the Blues offered the German side 14 million pounds, but were turned down by Leverkusen’s managerial team.

De Bruyne could make the difference this time around as he has done well in the Bundesliga this season scoring 6 times during his loan with Werder Bremen and Leverkusen like what they have seen of the young Belgian.

Schurrle would be a great addition to the team as he is young, dynamic and can play as either a winger or as a striker so Chelsea are determined to make him their first summer signing especially since he is becoming better with each season and will probably end up costing a lot more if the deal is not done sooner rather than later.

Bringing in the German international next to Falcao, Ba, Torres and Lukaku? would definitely improve Chelsea’s options in front of goal.
