Will Chelsea Sign Belgium’s Best?

Chelsea could become a small Belgian community if things go the way Mourinho wants them to go. There have been a lot of rumors linking a series of Belgium internationals to a move to Stamford Bridge with Toby Alderweireld being the latest added to the list. The 26 year old defender who has yet to extend his contract with Atletico, could be keen on making his move to the UK a permanent one. According to Sky Sports, Alderweireld recently admitted that discussions with the Spanish side have stalled and a move to Chelsea would be something he’d look forward to. Even if Southampton apparently have the first option to buy the Belgian international, Mourinho could still have a chance to secure the center back. He would definitely be a great addition to the club who is also showing interest in Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke and Zenit St Petersburg’s Axel Witsel who may be available this summer.

Hazard already expressed his desire to play next to Benteke and would probably be even happier to see three other Belgium internationals join the club. The Blues could secure the backbone of Belgium’s national team which is looking better each day. With Courtois, Alderweireld, Witsel, Hazard and Benteke, Chelsea would have the chance to grow immensely as a group which would help them for the future. All the players mentioned are young and already know each other very well. Signing all three Belgium Internationals might cost the club a decent amount of money but could be well worth it in the long run.
