‘What Kind Of Joke Is That?’ ‘Makes Absolutely No Sense’ Fans Can’t Believe Chelsea Target’s 60M Asking Price

Chelsea will have to match Paris Saint-Germain’s €70m (£60m) asking price if they want to sign Presnel Kimpembe, according to reports in the English media.

The Blues are keen to strengthen their defence with two more centre-backs after the arrival of Kalidou Koulibaly and Kimpembe is believed to be one of Thomas Tuchel’s preferred options.

However, the defender’s exorbitant valuation has got plenty of supporters on Twitter calling for the club to switch targets:

Earlier in the summer, it had been claimed that PSG would be prepared to sell Kimpembe for around €50m (£42.5m) so it is not known why the Ligue One champions have decided to raise their demands.

It was always thought that Kimpembe was reluctant to leave Paris so it may be the case that the player’s price tag will accelerate Chelsea’s decision to move on to other targets such as RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol or possibly Villarreal’s Pau Torres.
