Chelsea’s convincing 6-0 win against Barnsley midweek will give the team a big boost after their disappointing home defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

Frank Lampard’s side will be facing a West Brom team who have conceded eight goals in their first two league games. The Baggies also lost on penalties to Championship side Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night so morale is unlikely to be high in the dressing room.

In terms of team news, Christian Pulisic (hamstring) remains a doubt, although it is believed he is closing in on a return. Hakim Ziyech (knee) is in the same situation. Billy Gilmour (knee) remains out of contention but Andreas Christensen will return from his one-match ban after being sent off against Liverpool.

West Brom have doubts over Hal Robson-Kanu (calf), Kamil Grosicki (back), while Kenneth Zohore (calf) and Ahmed Hegazi (thigh) are both unavailable. Kieran Gibbs is still suspended after being red-carded against Everton.
