Chelsea supporters are hoping for a much improved performance when the Blues face Watford this evening.
Manager Maurizio Sarri has been seriously concerned by the mental fragility in the squad going as far to say that the players stopped playing after going 1-0 down to Leicester at the weekend:
“If you saw the second half, you saw something different. The team were shocked. We will prepare for Watford and look at the individual mistakes we made. We have to do everything we can to avoid the same problem happening in the future. But it’s not easy.”
Some fans on Twitter are worried by recent form:
Let the goals come for us today and be sure to play till the end when we winning. We seem to look like we don’t have the fighting spirit when losing or winning games.

Emerson and Odoi deserve a chance to play today’s game. Willian and Alonso are becoming too comfortable with regular start. Give these guys healthy competition!

Watford’s record at home this season has been patchy. They won 2-1 against Tottenham, but they have suffered losses against three of the other big six including Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.
They have lost four times in total on their own patch, including a 4-0 thrashing by Bournemouth. However, this will still be a difficult challenge, and after recent setbacks, the Blues will be very keen to get three points on the board as they aim to keep the likes of Arsenal behind them in the race for Champions League places.
