‘Watched By Chelsea This Season…’ Journalist Reveals 21M Rated Brazilian Is Being Scouted As Rudiger’s Replacement

Chelsea are keeping tabs on Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer, according to Football.London‘s Blues’ correspondent Adam Newson.

The journalist claims the Brazilian has been “watched by Chelsea this season” with the player being touted as a likely replacement for Antonio Rudiger due to his “aggressive” style of play.

Other reports have linked numerous Premier League clubs with Bremer, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, Leicester and Newcastle, with Torino expected to sell the defender for around €25m (£21m) this summer.

The 25-year-old is, by no means, the only centre-half being looked at by the Blues. Sevilla’s Jules Kounde remains a key target, while the likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe and RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol are also being considered.

At the moment, of course, Chelsea are not in a position to bid for any players due to the club’s ownership situation but it appears that the recruitment department have already identified a number of possible centre-back options as and when a takeover is completed.
