Vivell To Use Bundesliga Connections With Chelsea Now ‘On Pole’ To Sign German Teenage Sensation

Chelsea are “on pole” to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko on a free transfer, according to Sport.

The Catalan publication claims that the Blues’ new technical director Christopher Vivell is looking to land the teenager and he could use his strong connections in Germany to get the deal over the line.

Moukoko is out of contract at the end of the season and, while he has been offered a new €5m a year deal by Dortmund, his agent Patrick Williams is keen for the player to move clubs.

Sport report that Barcelona are likely to be Chelsea’s main rivals for the German international, although other sources have also mentioned Manchester United and Liverpool as potential suitors.

Whether Vivell will be the Blues’ trump card in negotiations, we shall have to wait and see. The 36-year-old only took up his position at Stamford Bridge after arriving from RB Leipzig last month, but it seems he is looking to stamp his mark by securing the signature of Moukoko.
