Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is interested in joining Chelsea, according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs.
There are conflicting reports over whether the Blues have tabled an opening bid for the England international, but they are expected to make a move for the player very soon, and Jacobs says Sterling would be “very open” to joining Thomas Tuchel’s side:
Lots of negotiation to be done, on fee and with Sterling. But there is a willingness on all sides. Sterling hasn’t yet made any final decisions but is thought to be very open to a move to Stamford Bridge if a fee can be agreed.

Jacobs does go on to state that City will compromise on their £60m asking price, with a deal worth £45m plus add-ons likely to be accepted.
That is slightly more than reports yesterday that suggested that Chelsea were hoping to complete a deal for £35m, but it seems that an agreement for Sterling is now in sight.
Other teams, including Arsenal and Tottenham, have been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old, but it is clear the Blues are the ones that are serious about securing the player’s signature this summer.
