Mourinho is going to be very happy to hear that one of his favorite defenders is ready to leave his current team. Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane was put on the transfer list by Ancelotti who barely gave the Frenchman a chance to prove himself. This is great news for Chelsea who have been looking for a replacement to come in for Terry. Despite being one of the best defenders in the world, the captain will be stepping aside sometime soon. According to the Daily Express, Varane will be there to replace the legend that is John Terry. Chelsea are not the only ones interested in the young Frenchman. Manchester United are also on the hunt for a new defender who can have both pace and strength to handle even the most difficult players.

Regardless of the motive by which Varane is allowed to leave, Chelsea must make an offer. He is one of the most promising players out there and has already gathered a lot of experience while playing for Real. He could be the perfect fit next to Zouma who is already starting to look great when played with Terry or Cahill. Accepting the offer will be the easy part as far as Varane goes. He was brought in by Mourinho and had his best years under the Portuguese Manager’s management. Hopefully the teams will reach an agreement and allow the 21 year old be rejoined with Mourinho.
