Two Championship Clubs Join Hunt To Sign Chelsea Starlet

Fulham and West Brom are fighting it out to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah on loan, according to reports in England.

The 19-year-old performed well out on loan at Ipswich Town last season, and the Blues are said to be willing to let him go on a temporary basis once again.

Chalobah made 44 appearances for the Tractor Boys, scoring two goals and providing one assist, as the Championship side were relegated to League One.

Despite being a centre-back, the England Under 20 international played most of the season in a holding midfield role.

Chalobah is unlikely to get game time at Stamford Bridge next campaign despite Chelsea’s transfer ban. In addition to the senior players, Fikayo Tomori and Ethan Ampadu are likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order for first-team appearances at centre-half.

With Mateo Kovacic likely to secure a permanent move to the Blues as well, the teenager will also have very little chance of getting a look in for a midfield role.
