Twitter comments praise Mourinho for selling Luiz to PSG

Former Chelsea man, David Luiz was targeted by Brazil fans after the incredible defeat against Germany. The 27 year old defender who decided to leave for PSG after just 3 years at Stamford Bridge, is seen as the main reason for Brazil’s chaotic defense who managed to concede no less than 7 goals in the semi-final against Germany. A few days after what may go down in history as one of the strangest outcomes in football history, the internet was flooded with messages and modified pictures that showed Mourinho laughing because he managed to sell Luiz for no less than £50million.

The Brazilian international, who became the most expensive defender in football history may have gotten PSG worried that their team have made a poor decision when spending so much money on a player with such fluctuating form. Luiz was dropped out of Mourinho’s starting line-up for the majority of last season, being replaced by Terry, Ivanovic or Cahill. It was a bit strange to see a team regular being dropped immediately after Mourinho took over especially since Luiz had been a fixture in the side under interim manager Rafael Benitez. Apparently the Portuguese manager knew exactly what he was doing and knew even better than to reject PSG’s offer.

According to Metro, Twitter captured the way Mourinho must feel after seeing the disaster which came upon Brazil. There is no way Luiz could have been sold for £50million after his performance in Brazil.
