Tuchel Says There Is One “Very Strong” Team He Would Not Like To Face In The Champions League Quarter Finals

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel says he would be less confident about the Blues’ chances in the Champions League if they are drawn against his old side Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-final draw tomorrow.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team won 5-1 on aggregate in their round of 16 tie against Barcelona, and when asked whether he’d be keen on facing his former club, Tuchel replied:

“I’m not sure! They are very strong, I know them well but we have to wait.”

After the Blues cruised past Atletico Madrid last night, Tuchel was adamant that his players should not fear anyone in the competition but there are a number of top teams still in the tournament.

As well as PSG, Chelsea could be drawn against the two remaining English clubs, Manchester City and Liverpool, whilst Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich could all prove to be stern tests. By far the weakest team remaining is Porto and it is fair to stay that the other seven sides will be hoping to get the Portuguese champions in the draw.
