Tuchel Has One Major Issue With Kurt Zouma Which Explains Why The Chelsea Star Could Be Sold

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is open to selling Kurt Zouma this summer as the Frenchman doesn’t fit his style of play, according to reports in the English media.

The centre-half has actually started 10 times since the German arrived back in January, but it appears that his time at Stamford Bridge is now coming to an end.

It is not 100% certain that Zouma will leave as Tuchel wants a replacement signed before the 26-year-old is allowed to go. The Blues are looking at four possible options, which include Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule, Wolfsburg Maxence Lacroix, Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.

Were one of those to be signed, Zouma would be deemed surplus to requirements. The centre-back has two years remaining on his current contract and Chelsea feel he would have a decent resale value.

Zouma has spent seven and a half years with the London club, although he has only made 150 first-team appearances, due to the fact he has had loan spells with Saint-Etienne, Stoke and Everton.
