Tuchel Has ‘Asked’ Boehly And Eghbali To ‘Make An Effort’ To Sign 33.7M Rated Dutch International

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has “asked” the club to “make an effort” to snap up Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries before the transfer window shuts, according to Calciomercato.com.

Cesar Azpilicueta’s decision to sign a new contract and stay at Stamford Bridge had seemingly put a deal for Dumfries on the back burner, but it appears a move for the Netherlands international is still very much alive.

Inter are likely to sell Dumfries if they receive a fee in the region of €40m (£33.7m) and it is believed that there will be “no shortage of attempts” made to secure the player’s signature in the weeks to come.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old but it looks as though Chelsea are the team likeliest to make a formal approach.

Co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali are currently focusing their efforts on recruiting Leicester’s Wesley Fofana. However, it seems Dumfries could be the next player on the list of targets.
