Updates On Trevoh Chalobah And Romeo Lavia: Chelsea Injury News And Expected Return Dates

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah could be in line to return for the Blues in their next game against Copenhagen.

The defender is currently being assessed over a lower back injury that he suffered during Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa late in February.

It forced the 25-year-old to miss the win against Southampton last time out, but he could be in line to return this week in the Europa Conference League.

The Blues face a Round of 16 tie against Danish side Copenhagen and will hope to get off to a good start ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge next week.

Chalobah could return before the game with his status currently listed by Premier Injuries at 25% ahead of the game.

Expected return date – Thursday 6 March vs Copenhagen (A)

Romeo Lavia

Midfielder Lavia is dealing with a hamstring injury which could keep him out until after the March international break at the end of the month.

The Europa Conference League game will come too soon for him on Thursday, and if he is to return before the break, it would likely be the game against Arsenal on the 16th.

Expected return date – Thursday 3 April vs Tottenham Hotspur (H)
