Torres Unhappy With The Way He Is Treated

Torres was one of the biggest flops in the Premier League’s recent history. Chelsea paid £50 million for the Spaniard that proved to be a continuous disappointment since transferring from Liverpool. He has been with the Blues since 2011. He started with a horrendous negative record managing 1 goal in 18 appearances for his new team during the 2010-2011 season. The single goal he managed came after 900 minutes played without scoring.

Since he came to London, the Spaniard has managed a disappointing 15 goals in 87 matches which says a lot about his form. He was always criticized and that made things even worse. Torres looked sloppy in front of goal and was known throughout the 2011-2012 season for his incredible consistency when it came to missing the target.

According to the Daily Mail, Torres recently spoke about his time spent at Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard looked quite disappointed with the way he was treated and considered he did not deserve such bad treatment from both fans and the press.

Torres looked a bit better on the pitch since the end of last season but nothing really significant. He became rather mediocre instead of being totally inefficient. That is not enough to become a fan favorite especially when you play for a club as big as Chelsea.

Torres also considers people overreact to his poor performances on the pitch and said fans never notice the good parts.

In a recent interview for Chelsea TV the Spaniard admitted he should do more for the club. Because of his position, efficiency is what counts so scoring so few goals in such a long time is not in his favor. He may help his teammates a lot but that is not his job. His job is to score goals and win games. Torres did not do that for Chelsea and fans will not let that go.

The Spanish international has one or two years left with the club at most. If the Blues manage to land a star striker during the next transfer periods Torres will surely be placed on the transfer list.
