Torres Set To Leave Stamford Bridge?

Torres will seemingly finally try his luck elsewhere after striking out with his Chelsea move. Since the Spaniard left Liverpool, his form never picked up thus leaving the Blues’ fans always waiting to see him perform like he did in “the good old days” when he was at Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.

Unfortunately the 29 year old who was supposed to lead Chelsea’s attack has fallen short every season scoring just 19 Premier League goals in 103 appearances. Add to that the fact that he was the most expensive transfer in the UK back in 2011 and you get one of the worst moves in football history.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea might get some money back though, as Inter Milan seem interested in signing Torres at the end of the season. The Italians sent their sporting director to London to figure things out. It seems that despite his high salary, the Spaniard is on top of Walter Mazzarri’s list who is confident the striker still has a lot to prove.

The 29 year old is still under contract for the next two years but his chances of being Mourinho’s first choice for a spot in his first eleven next season grow weaker and weaker with each game played as the Portuguese boss seems ready to make a big move in the transfer market during the summer.
