Torres Left Chelsea To Regain His Motivation

Torres has joined Italian side AC Milan on a 2 year loan which is very likely to turn into a permanent deal. The Spaniard finally decided to give up on his struggle to find his form at Stamford Bridge. Signing with Milan is definitely way of saying he admits he did not manage to deal with life in London. Hopefully, moving to Serie A will help him change the fans’ current attitude towards him. He is considered one of the biggest flops in Premier League history, after costing Chelsea about £1 million for each goal scored in his 172 appearances.

It seems that both Torres and Mourinho were in agreement as far as the change in scenery goes. Chelsea’s boss agreed that it was time for something to happen in order for Torres to begin scoring again. The only issue with Torres’s transfer was the fact that he chose AC Milan over Inter. According to the Daily Mail, the Blues’ boss would have wanted his former player to join Milan rivals Inter Milano with whom he won the Champions League back in 2010.

Torres will probably be AC Milan’s main man up front. He has already been given the number nine shirt and is expected to make his debut as soon as possible. He already scored his first goal in a training match and looks confident that he will forget all about his Chelsea days which were the worst of his career. Hopefully Torres will get his wish and he will feel important once again.
