Three Teams Are Ready To Test Chelsea’s Resolve To Keep £15m Rated Starlet

Leicester City have joined Everton and Manchester United in weighing up a bid for Chelsea right-back Reece James, according to reports in the UK.

Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be a big fan of the 19-year-old after his excellent season on loan with Wigan in the Championship.

All three clubs are said to be prepared to test Chelsea’s resolve to keep James, with bids of £15m reportedly being lined up.

However, it seems very unlikely that the Blues would want to sell the defender, particularly after such a good campaign with the Latics.

The London club’s transfer ban makes it highly improbable that they’ll countenance bids for their brightest young prospects.

James has been with Chelsea since he was six and will be determined to make a first-team breakthrough next season. The fullback could be used as a quality backup for Cesar Azpilicueta if Davide Zappacosta returns to Italy this summer.
