Three Strikers Chelsea Could Sign In The Summer Transfer Window

Victor Osimhen is one of several strikers Chelsea could look to add to their ranks in the summer.

At this point, it’s hardly a secret – Chelsea have a striker crisis. Worse still, despite having several chances to fix the issue, they have yet to do so.

They have just one senior team striker at the club – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – and he has greatly underwhelmed during his stint with the Blues.

As such, it is paramount that Chelsea sign a top-class striker in the summer. We’ve picked out three potential candidates to fill that role.

All three players on this list have been linked with Chelsea over the last few months – which of them would you like the Blues to bring on board?

Lautaro Martinez

First up is Lautaro Martinez – a rapid hitman, he possesses wonderful movement off the ball and has adroit finishing to back it up.

He has enjoyed a brilliant campaign at Inter Milan this season, scoring 20 goals and registering six assists in 35 Serie A appearances.

Not only has he helped to guide Inter to the Champions League final, he was also part of Argentina’s legendary World Cup winning squad in 2022.

Jonathan David

Jonathan David is perhaps the most left-field suggestion out of our three picks. Nevertheless, the Canadian international certainly fits the bill for what Chelsea need.

So far, David has scored 21 goals and has notched up four assists in Ligue 1 for LOSC Lille. Aged just 23, he also has plenty of room for growth.

David’s goals tally is quite incredible when you consider his age. He already has 79 senior goals, as well as 24 international goals for his native Canada.

Victor Osimhen

The most obvious choice for Chelsea would be, in our opinion, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. He has burst onto the scene this season, helping to guide Gli Azzurri to a monumental Serie A winning campaign.

His goals tally is, quite frankly, frightening. Thus far, the Nigerian nightmare has bagged 23 goals in 29 league games, alongside five assists.

Osimhen is the complete forward. He’s physical, tall, extremely quick and his finishing is also outstanding. He has a bright future in football – but where will he spend it?
