Three Outrageous Rumors To Dismiss This Winter

With the transfer window opened, Chelsea are constantly linked to new players. Sure, media is entitled to suggest players or link them to the club given the current lot’s form. Everyone except Willian and Courtois looks replaceable right now but things are not that simple. The starting eleven has a net worth of over £400million meaning that massive changes in its structure are very difficult to manage. The Blues already have 2 or 3 out of the best 20 players in the world and there’s no point in signing someone in the top 5 for example. That is why some rumors are outrageous and are not to be considered regardless of how exciting they sound.

  1. Gareth Bale – There’s been a lot of talk regarding Bale’s future. He is heavily linked to Chelsea and people say some massive offers are being set up for the Welshman. The truth is, his move to Chelsea will never happen. Not in the next 3-4 years at least. Deemed the most expensive transfer in the world after Real paid Tottenham £86m, Bale is under contract until 2019 and is probably going to become Ronaldo’s successor. It`s hard to believe that he would move to London even with rumors that Hazard would be included in the transfer.
  2. Luis Suarez – Barcelona’s front-man has been linked to Chelsea after rumors that Guardiola will be taking over hit the news. The Uruguayan is the 3rd most expensive player in football history and is under contract until 2019. The Catalans are known for being the sort of team that invests in players who are long-term solutions. Except for Ibrahimovich who did not get along with Guardiola, there are a handful of big names who came to Spain and left after just 2 seasons. Add to that the fact that Suarez is brilliant upfront next to Neymar and Messi and it is obvious he will not consider Chelsea anytime soon.
  3. Cristiano Ronaldo – The second most expensive player in the world is considering leaving Real Madrid but it`s hard to believe he will do so 2 years before his deal expires. It is also hard to believe he will pick any team other than Manchester United to end his career. United are not strict when it comes to age and would not have a problem giving a 32 year old player a massive salary or a massive contract. There is also Hazard who plays in the same position as Ronaldo and Hazard will not be leaving anytime soon regardless of what rumors are saying.

Even though these are amazing players, there is little to no chance of seeing them at Stamford Bridge. Fortunately, it is very possible that footballers like Hazard, Willian, Courtois or Costa have the ability to make Chelsea fans forget all about the other stars mentioned in this article and Guus Hiddink will likely show us that.
